Walkthrough: Step 1: Home Run Derby Mode

Home Run Derby Mode has 1 trophy this year for hitting for Home Runs in a row, this step will earn you:

Franchise Mode only has two trophies this year, one for completing a 10 year franchise, and one for having a league leader created player. Completing this step will earn you:

There is one trophy related to Postseason Mode where you need to sweep an opponent in either the Championship or World Series. Completing this step will earn you:

In this step your two main focuses will be Play'em All  and The Road Show. You will need to play and defeat every team in baseball in their home ballparks. You should always play the three matchup specific trophies as you will need to play all three teams anyway. This Step will earn you:

Step 6: Cleanup - preferably with a second controller

This section will vary for most players as you are eligible to earn all of these trophies in either of the previous 2 steps. Since you will have to play a minimum of 38 games (30 for The Road Show and 8 for Break out the Broom) you will earn a lot of these trophies naturally. The only trophy that you will not have for sure at this point is R.B.I. Ribbie King. You can use two controllers to quickly cleanup whatever remaining trophies you haven't completed here, then grind out 1000 RBI's. This Step will earn you:

R.B.I. Ribbie King

1000 total RBIs.

This will likely be the last trophy you earn. To get an RBI, you must score a run by getting one of your players home from your batter. This trophy is cumulative so all RBIs count from all modes (Excluding Home Run Derby). You will likely have to grind this after you finish every other trophy. You should play on easy difficulty and use a legends or all star team to maximize your chances at RBIs. The easiest way to get this is with 2 controllers and just keep scoring runs by allowing the batter to keep getting on base and not recording any outs in the field. The fastest way is by repeatedly hitting batters with a pitch. If you dont have two controllers you can turn all the sliders in your favor and keep scoring.

The Road Show

Play a game in every ballpark.

 

There are 30 ballparks in R.B.I Baseball 2021, one per MLB team. Simply complete a game in each park by playing all 9 innings or ending the game via the mercy rule. Make sure to return to the menu to ensure that your progress has been saved and keep a checklist of each park you have played at handy as there is no way to track this ingame. You should combine this with Play'em All trophy as you need to beat every team for that trophy anyway.

Play'em All
Win a game against one team in every division against CPU or Online Ranked Mode.

The description is actually incorrect here. You will need to play and win against ALL teams in baseball. There are 6 divisions in baseball, 3 in the National League and 3 In American League, totaling to 30 teams. Simply defeat each team by playing against the CPU on Easy difficulty, or in Online Ranked Mode. The servers aren’t very busy so if you are really struggling with this, you can likely match up with a friend in Online Ranked Mode. You should combine this with The Road Show trophy_gold.png  as you will need to play at all 30 teams parks for that trophy anyway. On Easy difficulty, it is beneficial when batting to use the power swing (square. You can also edit any team and make all the players have the highest attributes to make this easier against the CPU. You can try playing and defeating one team from each division to see if you have luck with it popping that way as the game does receive patches, but you will likely have to defeat each team for it to register.

Franchise Vet
Complete a 10-season Franchise (simming allowed).

 

Start a new franchise with any team and set the season length to 52 games. Now go to the calendar and use r2 to get to July, now press square on the last game of the season and hit confirm. Now you will be notified if you made the playoffs or not, again use square to simulate, now once you are eliminated go back with the button and hit circle sim postseason, then skip through the offseason and repeat the process for 10 seasons.

 

Creating a Leader
Create a player that ends a season as league leader in any stat category in Franchise Mode.

 

To create a player go to the manage roster section, then create player tab, you will select the team he goes to while creating him, once completed he will become a reserve for that team, so make sure to go to the reserves tab under manage rosters and put him on the main roster. You should make all his stats a 100 that you can. Once that is completed be sure to save your player and new rosters file. Create a new franchise using the team you put the new player on and be sure to put him in all four lineups if he’s a hitter or the starting rotation if he is a pitcher. Now simulate to the end of the season and check out the league leaders and see if he is number 1 or 2 and then you can play the final game if needed to be the league leader. Now you will just need to finish the season and playoffs and the trophy will pop. If you don’t get this in the first season you can repeat this 10 times until it does happen. If you are really struggling to get it you can play as many games as you’d like on easy difficulty to help improve the chances.

 

Swiping Bags
Steal at least 3 bases with the same player in a single game in any game mode.

The easiest way to do this is with two controllers, and steal 3 bases by walking the leadoff hitter and letting him steal with no throw. To steal you need to press L2 with a runner on base. If you don’t have two controllers use a team with a fast leadoff hitter such as Trea Turner of the Nationals, and try to steal a base or two in the first inning. Turn off the mercy rule to give yourself maximum opportunities to do this.

Break out the Broom
Sweep a 5 or 7-game Postseason series without simming in Postseason Mode or Franchise Mode.

 

This description also seems to be incorrect as you will need to win a 7 game series, the trophy will not pop in a 5 game series. Start a postseason mode with any team, you can stack a teams roster beforehand to make this easier. Now play on easy mode and win the first two rounds of the playoffs, now in the championship or world series will all 4 of the first 4 games. If you are about to lose one game you can xmb quit to restart the game.

 

4 X 4
Hit 4 home runs in a row in Home Run Derby

 

Start a Home Run Derby from the main menu and don’t change any of the settings, as using other players negates the trophy, now to hit four home runs you should swing with the square button to use the power swing and should be able to hit 4 home runs consecutively in the first round.

Play a game using the DH during an NL home game.

 

For this trophy you will need a team from the National League to be the Home Team. In Exhibition simply select any team to be the away team, and any of the below teams to be the home team. Before finalizing the team selections press triangle to change the game options, and change the designated hitter option from AL Only to ON. Now play the game as normal to completion and the trophy will unlock.

Pitcher Pride

Hit a Home Run with a Pitcher.

 

You can use the same method as Impact Bat trophy as long as your created players primary position is set to pitcher. If you would prefer to use an in game pitcher you can do that as well by going to the edit player tab under manage rosters, and setting all hitting stats to 100. Now set the game to easy and use the power swing to try and hit a home run.

 

Lone Star Series
Play a 9-Inning game TEX vs.HOU.

 

Simply play a 9 inning game with the Texas Rangers as the away team and Houston Astros as the Home Team. You can be either team and should try to combine this with Ruthless Eephus trophy.

Freeway Series
Play a 9-Inning game LAA vs. LAD.

 

Simply play a 9 inning game with the Los Angeles Angels as the away team and, Los Angeles Dodgers as the Home Team. You can be either team and should try to combine this with Devastating Slider 

 

Avenge the 2012 World Series
Win a 9-Inning game as DET vs SF to avenge the 2012 World Series. Easy mode not allowed.

 

Play and win a 9 inning game with the Detroit Tigers as the away team against the San Francisco Giants as the Home Team. You will have to set the difficulty to medium in the gameplay options section. If you are having difficulty you can edit all the players on the Tigers to have perfect attributes and make all the Giants have 0 attributes. You can also trade for the best players and put them on the Tigers as well.

 

Remember 42
Hit 42 home runs in any game mode.

 

This doesn’t work in Home Run Derby mode, To hit a home run you must hit the ball over the fence on the fly. This trophy is cumulative and doesnt need to be done with one player. You will likely earn this Exhibition mode but can be done in Franchise mode as well. It goes without saying you should play on easy difficulty, and you can trade for players with the most power in the league. Two controllers also work for this trophy so have the ball pitched down the middle to maximize your Homerun chances. You can use the square button to power swing which improves your chances at home runs.

 

Bulldog
Shut out a team over 9 innings or more without allowing any walks.
Start a game and do not allow any runs or walks to the opponent. To make this easier you can set the difficulty to easy and use one of the all-star teams in exhibition. If you are really struggling you can use two controllers or play against a friend online and have them strikeout every at bat.

 

Teamwork
Shut out a team over 9 innings using 5 or more pitchers.

 

You need to give up 0 runs in a full 9 inning game for this trophy. The best way to do this is by going 5 innings with your starting pitcher, then use a reliever for 1 inning each after that. To bring in a reliever press L1 while on the mound and before selecting a pitch. Playing on easy difficulty and pitching to the corners will improve your chances of not allowing a run. You can also use one of the all star or legend teams to pitch with the best players in the game. Two controllers works aswell if you are really struggling, dont have the second controller swing at any pitches.

Just As Good As a Hit
Drive in a run with a walk or a hit by pitch in any game mode.

 

First you must get baserunners on first, second and third. Now as the batter you need to draw a walk by getting 4 balls or get hit by a pitch. The CPU doesn’t walk or hit too many batters with a pitch so it is recommended to use 2 controllers or play a friend online and have them walk you or hit you with 3 men on base. If you don’t have either of those as an option you can edit your opponents pitchers pitching attributes to increase the likelihood of a walk or hit by pitch.

 

Highlight Reel
Turn a double play after making a diving stop in any game mode.

 

First, while pitching you will have to allow a runner on first with 1 out or less. Now keep throwing low pitches to try inducing a ground ball now by default your fielder will dive for balls that are just out of reach, so if you get a diving stop try to get the runner going to second out then the runner at first. If you have two controllers you can try this repeatedly by not recording an out until you make a diving stop.

Filthy Fastball

Strike 3 batters out with; or get an extra base hit off of Gerrit Cole's Filthy Four-Seam Fastball.

 

You have two ways of going for this trophy:
Play against the Yankees and have Gerrit Cole be the starter against you and hit a double, triple, or home run against him as he throws a 4 Seam Fastball.
Play as the Yankees using Gerrit Cole and have three strikeouts result from the Four-Seam Fastball (4SFB).
Either way you choose it is recommended you play on Easy difficulty or against a second controller/ friend online to make it easier. If you are using two controllers you will need to be the pitcher as it doesn’t seem to pop as the hitter.

 

Savage Sinker
Strike 3 batters out with; or get an extra base hit off of Max Fried's Savage Sinker.

 

You have two ways of going for this trophy:
Play against the Braves and have Max Fried be the starter against you and hit a double, triple, or home run against his Sinker.
Play as the Braves using Max Fried and have the three strikeouts result from the Sinker (SNK).
Either way you choose it is recommended you play on Easy difficulty or against a second controller/ friend online to make it easier. If you are using two controllers you will need to be the pitcher as it doesn’t seem to pop as the hitter.

Wicked Curve
Strike 3 batters out with; or get an extra base hit off of Shane Bieber's Wicked Curveball.

Plays against the Indians and have Shane Bieber be the starter against you and hit a double, triple, or home run against his Curveball.
Play as the Indians using Shane Bieber and have the three strikeouts result from the Curveball (CRV).

Play as the Dodgers using Clayton Kershaw and have three strikeouts result from the Slider (SLD).

Nasty Changeup

Play as the White Sox using Lucas Giolito and have the three strikeouts result from the Changeup (CHG).

Ruthless Eephus

You have two ways of going for this trophy:
Plays against the Astros and have Zack Greinke be the starter against you and hit a double, triple, or home run against his Eephus pitch.
Play as the Astros using Zack Greinke and have the three strikeouts result from the Eephus (EPH).
Either way you choose it is recommended you play on Easy difficulty or against a second controller/ friend online to make it easier. You will probably want to Pitch as Greinke since he doesn’t throw the Eephus pitch often. If you are using two controllers you will need to be the pitcher as it doesn’t seem to pop as the hitter.
